Dear friends of old-school style platformers,

During the past ~2.5 years I have worked on/off on "Professor Bubbles", a platformer which is probably best described as a mash-up of Commander Keen and Super Mario Bros Wonder* (*just because I used the bubble mechanism just like Nintendo did).

Man it feels weird. 

It feels strange, because now that the game is more or less finished and out there, I all of a sudden have 6-8h of more free time per week :P But ok, let's try to talk about the game itself. 

Some things which I think turned out well in the game are:

•  Consistent pixelart style
• Gameplay feeling
• Bubble mechanic

Things, which could be better:

• Level design (there might be some unfair passages)
• Sound/music design
• Narrative

That said, the best platforming experience in my opinion can be found in the western style "cowboy" level, where things can get really spicy with rocket spawning cowboys & haunting ghosts. The other five levels are also quite alright, but I guess best try out yourself.
